The Southeast Senior Center is looking for a Canasta and Mahjong group leader.  Volunteer must be be knowledgeable about the games and oversee classes, and organize games one or twice a week.  Please contact Scott Reddin at 201-569-4080 to learn more.

Two volunteers are needed to assist at the Fourth annual Todd Ouida Children's Foundation
Conference on May 1st  from 8:00am - 5:00pm at Montclair State University.  The conference is about youth dealing with anxiety and depression.  Volunteers are needed to assist registration and set up.  Please call Mr. Herbert Ouida at 201-265-7765 to sign up to volunteer.

Women's Rights Information Center, Englewood, is looking for a few volunteers to work as Records Volunteers in an ongoing position beginning now.  Volunteers must be computer savvy and able to assist with event registration, database updates, and spreadsheet entry.  If you are interested please contact Suzan Burr at 201-368-1166.

Community Blood Services is looking for a Canteen Host/Hostess, Greeter at the Lincoln Park location.  Volunteer will great donors at the door, escort to registrar, give juice and cookies to blood donors in the donor canteen.  Different shifts are available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays from 12:00-7:30pm and Saturday 7:30am- 1:00pm.  Sign up here to volunteer.

Giants of Generosity, Cresskill, is looking for a volunteer Bookkeeper with knowledge of QuickBooks. Volunteer will work on bank reconciliations, matching receipts to statements, work on check entry and QB reports. Adler Aphasia Center, Maywood, is looking for volunteers to work as "Creative Volunteers".  Volunteers work work with members to make jewelry and other gift items.  Training will be provided.  Volunteers are needed during the day from 10:30 - 11:30, 11:30 - 12:30 and/or 1:15 - 2:15.  About 10 volunteers are needed, must be 18 or older to work in this position.  Please call Ava at 201-368-8585 to learn more.

CHORE Service   Volunteer Handypersons needed for the Volunteer Center’s Chore Service, which provides free home repairs that keep Bergen County senior and disabled homeowners safe in their homes.  Volunteers should be able to perform minor home repairs that any able-bodied homeowner can do,  and must be available for 1 shift per week—shifts are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 2:00 pmCall Maureen McCormick at 201-489-7790 or email

Family Volunteer Day!

Join us for our annual Family Volunteer Day, Saturday, April 18, 9am - 3pm, at Campgaw Park, Mahwah.  Families of all shapes and sizes are invited to come volunteer with MEVO (Mahwah Environmental Volunteer Organization) to help build a 1.5 acre organic, sustainable farm which will help serve hungry people in the community, as well as be a teaching farm for students, groups, and more.

Office Helpers are needed to assist in the VOAD office.  Volunteer are needed to help in the Bergen County VOAD office helping with Hurricane Sandy relief projects.  Duties include answering the phone, data entry and filing.
