Get your Derby on!

Grab your most festive hat or most outrageous tie and come out to enjoy all things Derby! Catch the excitement and join us for the Volunteer Center's 21st annual Derby Day party on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Apple Ridge Country Club in Mahwah, NJ.

Guests will enjoy a wonderful afternoon of savory southern food, authentic mint juleps, wine tasting, great music, and of course, the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby! The party runs from 3:30 - 7:00 pm and features a silent and live auction in which guests can bid on a range of select items such as fabulous jewelry, vacations, sports memorabilia, as well as some very special items for the Derby enthusiast.

A new feature this year is Maxum Cigars.  Maxum Cigars features the finest in Dominican, Indonesian and Nicaraquan tobaccos.  Rob Menaker, President, will be in house doing a rolling demonstration for guests to enjoy and is donating a humidor and 20 cigars to our auction!  Maxum Cigars perform at weddings, Bar/Bat Mitvahs and private and corporate functions.  Please view their complete line of cigars at www.maxumcigars.com. 

In the spirit of the Kentucky Derby, awards will be given for the "Most Elegant Hat" for the ladies and "Most Outrageous Tie" for the gentlemen. Dress is casually elegant.

Tickets are $100 per person and sponsorship opportunities are available. All proceeds from the event directly benefit the Volunteer Center of Bergen County.
