RSVP (the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is part of Senior Corps, a network of national service programs that provides older Americans the opportunity to apply their life experience to meeting community needs.
Chore Service, a program of the Volunteer Center that provides minor home repairs to elderly and disabled clients, needs volunteer handymen and women.

For Families

National Family Volunteer Week is Nov. 19-25

Volunteering together as a family:

Teaches positive values to children
Provides quality family time
Allows families to make significant contributions to their communities
Creates life-long volunteers

National Family Volunteer Week is designed to demonstrate the power of families who volunteer to support their communities. It "kicks off" the holiday season of giving and service. This year, communities around the country will be working with families, corporations, non-profits and Volunteer Centers to make family volunteering a national tradition.

So participate in a project together during National Family Volunteer Week to support family volunteering and help create a legacy of volunteering for the next generation.
